The New York University wrestling team made its 2014-15 debut in the national polls this week, ranking #25 in theNational Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division III Poll released on Tuesday, November 18.

The squad began its dual season last weekend at the Metro vs. PA Duals hosted by King's College in Wilkes-Barre, PA. NYU finished the event with a 4-0 record, defeating the University of Scranton, Wilkes University, King's, and Elizabethtown College.

Senior Brandon Jones is ranked #2 individually at 141 pounds by both the NWCA and D3wrestle.com. The West Des Moines, IA, native won all three of his matches at King's, including a win each by fall, technical fall and major decision.

Raymond Jazikoff (157 lbs.) and Patrick Sheehan (184 lbs.) are listed as contenders at their respective weight classes by d3wrestle.com, while John Messinger (165 lbs.) was given Honorable Mention recognition.
