The New York University wrestling team went 3-0 on Saturday, January 30, defeating both opponents at the Gettysburg Quad in Gettysburg, PA, in the afternoon and then traveling to Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA, and posting another win in the evening.

The grapplers defeated Johns Hopkins University 27-10 and host Gettysburg College 31-6 in the afternoon, then Muhlenberg on Saturday night 44-3.

NYU is now 9-4 in dual meets this season.

"We came out attacking today and we tried to put points on the board in all of our matches," said Senior Assistant Coach Corey Luce. "Everyone stepped up.

Senior captain Dylan Lojac, junior Nathan Pike and sophomore Raymond Jazikoff all went 3-0 during the eventful day.

"Our goal at the beginning of the week was to win the rest of our dual meets this season," said Luce. "This was a great start."

HIGHLIGHTS:

- Pike won two of his matches by technical falls.

- Lojac, competing at 165 pounds, produced two falls.

- Jazikoff, wrestling at 157 pounds, recorded two wins by major decision.

- Pike (141, 133) and junior William Gockel-Figge (184, 197) were victorious in two weight classes.

"It was a different type of experience for all of us, competing at two different locations," said Head Coach Bruce Haberli. "But, the guys were up to the task and were pretty dominant throughout."
