The University of Chicago wrestling team sent two wrestlers to compete at day one of the 54th-annual Ken Kraft Midlands Championships on Thursday.
Hosted by Northwestern University, the two-day tournament features 42 schools, including many of the nationally-elite NCAA Division I teams.
UChicago's was represented by senior Michael Sepke at 165 pounds and freshman Kahlan Lee-Lermer at 149 pounds. Sepke went 1-2 in matches against three NCAA Division I opponents, including a 4-3 victory over Central Michigan University. Lee-Lermer was 0-2 against his Division I foes.
