Led by Kyle Peisker's weight-class title, eight University of Chicago wrestlers reached the podium at the 15th-annual Milwaukee School of Engineering Invitational on Saturday.

The Maroons brought 14 wrestlers to the invite, with more than half finishing in the top six in their respective brackets.

Peisker led the Maroon contingent by winning the 174-pound weight class. After receiving a bye, the junior was dominant with a first-period pin and a 15-0 technical fall. Two subsequent medical forfeits resulted in a first-place finish.

First-year Cole Cole Riemer ran through much of the 149-pound bracket. He pinned his opening two opponents in the first period, then secured a 5-4 decision and 21-6 technical fall to reach the championship match. In the final, he lost 8-4 to his Central (Iowa) College opposition.

Fellow rookie Ben Sarasin was also a runner-up at 174 pounds. Sarasin secured three decisions and one major before taking second to Peisker.

Junior Kahlan Lee-Lermer (165 pounds) and first-year Maguire Pecci (157 pounds) combined to go 9-2 as each tallied third-place showings.

Sophomore Will Britain took fifth at 165 pounds with a 4-2 mark. Junior Steve Bonsall (157 pounds) and senior Nick Ferraro (184 pounds) each finished sixth.
