NYU Hosts 2020 UAA Wrestling Championship on Saturday

Two-time defending champion University of Chicago seeks to make it three in a row at the 2020 UAA Wrestling Championship hosted by NYU on Saturday. The championship will be held at the Brooklyn Athletic Facility, beginning at 11 a.m.

The Maroons cruised to last year's title, dropping only three individual matches, in their wins over NYU and Case Western Reserve University. 

Ben Sarasin (third at 184 pounds), Kyle Peisker (fourth at 174 pounds), Steve Bonsall (eighth at 157 pounds), and Cole Fribanz (10th at 285 pounds) of the Maroons are all nationally ranked. 

NYU, which won its fifth consecutive Association title in 2017, enters the championship ranked 11th. Sean Lyons is ranked fourth at 157 pounds, while defending UAA Wrestler of the Year Evan Drill is listed as a contender at 149 pounds. Cole Karam (165 pounds) and Jack La Corte (197 pounds) are also listed as contenders.

CWRU finished second for the first time since 2006 in last year's championship.
