Washington University in St. Louis senior back Kate Doyle and junior forward Lillie Toaspern were named to the 2013 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Continental Tire Women's Soccer Division III All-America Team, as announced Friday by the Association.

Doyle earned first-team NSCAA All-America honors, while Toaspern was tabbed to the third team. Doyle and Toaspern are the 12th and 13th All-America selections in school history. Doyle is also the seventh player in school history to earn first-team honors joining Jennifer Haddad (1992), Rachel Sweeney (1997), MeghanMarie Fowler-Finn (2006), Libby Held (2008), Caryn Rosoff (2009) and Anna Zambricki (2012).

Doyle, a first-team NSCAA all-Central Region and all-UAA honoree, started all 22 games in the midfield and backfield for Washington U. with eight goals and three assists for 19 points. She was seventh in the UAA in goals scored, and netted the game-winner in a 1-0 win at then No. 7-ranked Emory University Oct. 6. A three-time NSCAA all-Central Region and four-time all-UAA honoree, Doyle started 82 of 86 games played and had 11 goals and 20 assists for 42 points. The 20 assists are tied for 10th in Washington U. school history.

"Kate has been fantastic for four years. She has been asked to play several different positions based on what the team needs and has risen to the occasion each season for us," said sixth-year head coach Jim Conlon. "Kate is an athlete that works hard in training, when no one is looking as well as in games. As a player, Kate always is moving at full speed."

Doyle also excelled off the field earning 2013 Capital One Third-Team Academic All-America® honors, becoming the first women's soccer student-athlete in school history to earn multiple Academic All-America honors. She was also a two-time Capital One First-Team Academic All-District and three-time Academic All-UAA selection. Doyle has a 3.84 grade point average and will graduate in May with a degree in chemistry and a minor in public health.

Toaspern started 21 games for the Bears and led the team and the conference in goals scored (13) and points (34). She also added eight assists and four game-winning goals, third most in the UAA. Toaspern scored the game-winner in a 2-1 win vs. No. 14 Carnegie Mellon University Oct. 12, and had a hat trick in the 3-0 victory over No. 18 University of Puget Sound in the NCAA Sectional Semifinal Nov. 23. She had five goals and an assist in four NCAA Tournament games.

Toaspern has started 61 of 62 games in her three-year career with 32 goals and 20 assists for 84 points. She enters her senior season ranked sixth in school history in points (84), seventh in game-winning goals (nine) and goals (32), and 10th in assists (20).

"Lillie is an impact player. She can change a game at any moment. Her work ethic and desire to make herself and her team better is what makes her special," said Conlon. "Lillie's versatility this season allowed her to be on the ball more and get her teammates more involved in the game. Her dual threat of passing and finishing is a unique combination. Lillie is everything we want in a WashU Bear."

Conlon, the 2013 NSCAA Central Region Coach of the Year, guided Washington U. to a school record 20-1-1 overall mark in 2013, and advanced to the NCAA Division III Quarterfinals for the third-straight season and seventh time in school history. The Bears also won their second-consecutive and ninth UAA Championship with a 7-0 record. Washington U. was ranked No. 1 in the NSCAA/Continental Tire Top-25 Poll for the second time in school history.
