Megan Carver of NYU Named ECAC Rookie of the Year

From NYU Athletics

Megan Carver and Lexi Clarke of the New York University women's soccer team were both honored by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) on Thursday, December 17.

Both Violet midfielders were selected as Division III All-ECAC Metro First Team honorees, while Carver was also named Rookie of the Year.

Clake, a junior from Round Hill, VA, led NYU in points (15), assists (5) and total shots (60), and tied for the team lead in goals (5) and game-winning goals (3).

Carver, a freshman from Manhattan Beach, CA, tied Clarke for first in goals and was second behind her fellow midfielder in points (12). This is the second Rookie of the Year honor for Carver, who earned the same distinction earlier in 2015 from the University Athletic Association (UAA).

Carver, Clarke and the rest of the Violets completed the 2015 season with a school-record 15 wins (15-5-1) and captured the ECAC Metro/Upstate Championship.
