The Emory University Women's Soccer team dominated Division II Brevard College Tuesday night at the Woodruff Physical Education Center, defeating the Tornados 5-0 to give Head Coach Sue Patberg win No. 300 in her career. She becomes the 56th head coach in NCAA Women's Soccer history to reach that milestone. Patberg, who is in her 23rdseason as a head coach now stands at 300-129-54 overall and is 154-42-36 in her 12 seasons guiding the Eagles.

Emory controlled every facet of the game, outshooting Brevard 41-0, 15-0 in shots on goal, and finished with a 14-1 advantage in corner kicks. Four different players registered a goal for the Eagles with freshman Shivani Beallpowering the offense with two goals as well as adding an assist for a career-high five points.

Beall opened the scoring in the 30th minute, netting her fourth goal of the season. Beall had her first opportunity saved but the rebound bounced right back to her and she was able to finish it to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead. Junior Melinda Altamore and sophomore Jordan Doak assisted on the play.

Doak made it 2-0 seven minutes later as she found the back of the net for the first time in her career. Freshman Caroline Kolski found a wide open Doak in the middle of the box on the far cross and Doak was able to fire it into the left hand corner to double the Emory lead heading into halftime.

Beall made it 3-0 with her second goal of the contest in the 47th minute. Senior Cristina Ramirez fed a ball into the box from the end line. Brevard's Laurel Neuzil made a diving attempt at it but the ball bounced off her hands and right to Beall who tapped it into the empty net.

Sophomore Sophia Dillon recorded her third goal of the season in the 54th minute to make it 4-0 Emory. Beall hit a streaking Dillon right in the middle of the box with a pass from the end line and Dillon one-timed it into the corner to give the Eagles a four goal edge.

Junior Kaitlyn Dorka provided the final touch with the Eagles' five goal in the 75th minute. The Eagles had a 3-on-2 breakaway after gaining possession following a corner kick by the Tornados. Junior Anna Gurney beat a Brevard defender at midfield before taking a few steps and passing it to a wide open Dorka right outside the 18. Dorka took a couple dribbles before firing it past the Brevard goalkeeper for her first goal of the year.

The Emory defense only allowed the ball to cross midfield a handful of times as the Eagles recorded their seventh shutout of the season. Freshman Haley Pratt started and played 65:04 minutes to improve to 2-2 on the season while classmate Danielle Wilson saw her first action of her career, playing the final 24:56 between the posts.
