Four UAA Women's Soccer Student-Athletes Earn CoSIDA Academic All-America Honors

Four UAA student-athletes were named to the 2017 CoSIDA Division III Academic All-America® women's soccer teams selected by the College Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA).

2017 CoSIDA Division III Academic All-America® release

Sophomore defender Camille Williams of Carnegie Mellon University and senior midfielder Elle Zadina of Case Western Reserve University were each named to the second team. Williams has a 4.00 grade point average in chemistry, while Zadina maintains a 4.00 GPA in computer science.

Senior defender Whitley Cargile and junior midfielder Jenna McKinney of Association champion and NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship runner-up University of Chicago were selected to the third team. Cargile owns a 3.87 GPA in economics and McKinney, the two-time UAA Most Valuable Player, has a 3.77 GPA in economics.

The 33 women on the Division III Academic All-America® team have an average GPA of 3.94 with 13 at 4.0 or above. The first team average GPA is 3.99.

The Division III Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2017-18 Division II Academic All-America® teams program.

All four UAA honorees were named Academic All-Americans for the first time in their careers.
