From Case Western Reserve University Athletics
In its first official competition in more than a month, the Case Western Reserve University women's swimming & diving team defeated visiting Allegheny College (Pa.) by a score of 165-126 on Saturday at Veale Natatorium.
The Spartans improve to 3-4, while the Gators dip to 3-6.
Freshmen Ellie Wilson (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seven Hills) and Mary Katherine Miller (Baton Rouge, La./Saint Joseph's Academy) were each individual double-winners.
Wilson took first in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:09.19) and the 200 breaststroke (2:31.24). Miller won the 200 butterfly (2:14.38) and 400 individual medley (4:51.45).
In relay competition, Wilson swam for the first-place 400 medley team (4:05.50) with junior Rebecca Pakradooni (Augusta, Ga./Lakeside) and freshmen Cassandra Laios (Worthington, Ohio/Thomas Worthington) and Jennifer Eurich (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown Area). Pakradooni, Wilson and Eurich also teamed with freshman Inez Moore (Lakewood, Colo./D'Evelyn) for a first-place time of 1:42.28 in the 200 free relay.
Overall, Wilson had a hand in four first-place finishes for the day.
