Freshman Ellie Wilson (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seven Hills) broke the school record in the 100-yard breaststroke, and the Case Western Reserve University women's swimming & diving team improved a spot to third place on day two of the 2014 Wooster Invite.

The Spartans have 717 points with one day remaining in the event. Division II Gannon University (Pa.) is first at 977.5, and host College of Wooster is second at 765.5.

Wilson swam to a morning prelims time of 1:04.91. The previous mark of 1:06.69 was set by current senior Brianna Cain (Perry, Ohio/Perry) last winter. In evening finals, Wilson placed third in 1:06.90.

In addition, junior Rebecca Pakradooni (Augusta, Ga./Lakeside) finished runner-up in the 100 butterfly in 57.76. Freshman Mary Katherine Miller (Baton Rouge, La./Saint Joseph's Academy) took third in the 400 individual medley with a mark of 4:39.42.

In the final women's event of the night, the 800 free relay, CWRU's 'A' team placed third with a time of 8:02.59 from the quartet of Pakradooni, freshman Kaitlyn Gorski (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley), freshman Abigail Dessart (Short Hills, N.J./Millburn) and Miller.
