From Case Western Reserve University Athletics
The Case Western Reserve University women's swimming & diving team wrapped up the weekend in third place at the 2014 Wooster Invitational at Ellen Shapiro Natatorium.
The Spartans totaled 1,052 points over the three-day competition. Division II Gannon University (Pa.) won the team title with 1,489.5 points, while host College of Wooster was runner-up with 1111.5.
Freshman Mary Katherine Miller (Baton Rouge, La./Saint Joseph's Academy) turned in the team's top individual finish on Saturday with a runner-up and NCAA 'B' cut time of 2:07.14 in the 200-yard butterfly.
A day after setting the school 100 breaststroke record, freshman Ellie Wilson (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seven Hills) placed fourth in the 200 breaststroke in 2:26.00.
Senior Abby Glenn (Novi, Mich./Novi) placed fifth in 1,650 free in 18:25.96.
In relays, the Spartans 200 free 'A' team placed third with a time of 1:43.76 from senior Sarah Mastrandrea (East Amherst, N.Y./Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart), freshman Cassandra Laios (Worthington, Ohio/Thomas Worthington), freshman Dominique Hall (Wickliffe, Ohio/Hathaway Brown) and junior Rachael Loek (Woodridge, Ill./Downers Grove South).
