New York University's women's swimming and diving team won its
dual meet against SUNY Cortland, which the Violets hosted on
Saturday, October 11, at the Palladium Athletic Facility (PAF) in
Manhattan.
The Violets' Emily
Doerner, a strong contributor over her past three seasons,
won the 100-yard backstroke (1:00.75), and participated on the
winning 200-yard medley relay (1:48.76) and 400-yard freestyle
relay (3:41.89) teams.
"Overall we swam really well today," said Head Coach Trevor Miele. "It was a great way
to start out the season. But, there's a long way to go. Hopefully,
we can just keep getting better."

of the year."
