Chicago Sets School Mark in 400 Medley Relay at UAA Championships

The University of Chicago women's swimming and diving team broke a school record at day two of the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships on Thursday.

UChicago's women wrapped up the evening by setting a new school record in the 400-yard medley relay. The Maroons finished third in 3:48.67 with a relay consisting of freshman Melissa Bischoff, senior Jennifer Hill, sophomore Abby Erdmann and sophomore Maya Scheidl. All three of the school record times were NCAA B cuts.

Sophomore Alison Wall posted B cuts in the 500-yard freestyle prelims (4:59.12) and in the 100-yard backstroke (56.93) while leading off a medley relay. Bischoff led off a medley relay with a time of 56.47 in the 100-yard backstroke. Hill and sophomore Megan Wall swam times of 2:06.59 and 2:07.51 in the 200-yard IM, respectively.
