Lauren Bailey of Rochester Flies To Two Individual Titles

Lauren Bailey of Rochester Flies To Two Individual Titles

From University of Rochester Athletics

Senior Lauren Bailey won the 100- and 200-yard butterfly events to highlight Rochester's performance in day two of the season-opening four-team meet at the Speegle-Wilbraham Aquatic Complex. She also swam the anchor leg on the winning 400 freestyle relay which closed the meet (3:36.87).

The meet involves University Athletic Association rivals New York University and Brandeis University, plus Canisius College of Buffalo, an NCAA Division I program.

It was scored as a quadruple dual – Rochester vs. each of the three and those three versus each other (UR vs NYU, Brandeis vs. Canisius, NYU vs. Brandeis, etc.). The events themselves are simply scored in the total order of finish, but that does not reflect the placement in the head-to-head matchups.

These are the final team results:
Canisius 289, Brandeis 56
NYU 311, Brandeis 49
Rochester 301, Brandeis 59
NYU 255, Canisius 113
Rochester 190, Canisius 178
NYU 246.50, Rochester 123.50
