Danielle Neu Sets Pool Mark; Two Double Winners for Rochester

Lauren Bailey, Vicky Luan, and Danielle Neu were individual double winners for the women's swimming and diving team which split a triangular meet with Carnegie Mellon University and Grove City College on Saturday.
 
The Yellowjackets defeated Grove City, 194-106. Rochester lost, 175-124, to Carnegie Mellon. (CMU defeated Grove City, 225-75).
 
Bailey won the 200 fly (2:09.92) and the 100 fly (:58.30). Luan was first in the 50 free (:24.26) and the 100 free (:54.19). Both of them swam on the 200 freestyle relay which won  with a time of 1:39.37. The other relay swimmers were Hongjue Wang and Khamai Simpson. They also swam on the 200 medley relay which was second in 1:50.55 (with Julia Herman and Alex Veech).
 
The meet was scored as a double-dual (Rochester vs. CMU, CMU vs. Grove City, Grove City vs. Rochester).
 
Wang was second in the 200 free (1:59.44). Annie Thayer was second – to Bailey – in the 200 fly (2:11.45). Thayer was fifth in the 200 IM (2:20.06).Jennifer Enos was second in the 500 free (5:20.00) and fourth in the 1,000 (11:11.12).
 
Veech swam to a third place time of 1:09.65 in the 100 breaststroke. Herman was second in two individual events – the 100 backstroke (1:02.85) – and 200 backstroke (2:15.81). Kelsey Lisbon swam a 2:39.12 in the 200 breaststroke to finish sixth.
 
On the diving boards, Neu posted an NCAA qualifying performance and broke the pool record for high score in winning the one meter (407.50). She also won the three meter (401.55).
