Sophomore diver Danielle Neu qualified for the Division III
National Championships after an 8th place finish on the 1 meter
board at the NCAA Region 4 Diving Championships on Saturday at SUNY
Geneseo.
Neu qualified for nationals for the second straight season, joining
teammates Vicky Luan, Lauren Bailey, Emily Simon and Khamai Simpson

Last season at NCAA's, Neu placed in 17th on the 1 meter board and
was an Honorable Mention All-American on the 3 meter with a 16th
place finish.
On Saturday, Neu posted a 1 meter competition score of 385.80 to
finish in 8th of 30 competitors. That backed up a 5th place
finish on the 3 meter board on Friday.
Also competing for Rochester at regionals were seniors Joanna
Wallace and Carrie Demoulin who finished off their Yellowjacket
diving careers with 23rd and 26th place finishes
respectively. Wallace scored 330.00 points for 11 dives while
Demoulin ended with a total of 319.40.
Neu and UR's other swimmers will compete at nationals on March
