From University of Rochester Athletics
University of Rochester diver Danielle Neu picked up right
where she left off last spring. She turned in an impressive
performance on the three-meter diving board in Rochester's
season-opening four-team meet on Friday night.
Neu finished first with a point total of 247.85 for six
dives. Joanna Wallace finished fourth for the women with a point
total of 212.2. Carrie DeMoulin was seventh, scoring 197.55
points.
The competing teams in addition to Rochester are Brandeis
University, New York University, and Canisius College. The meet is
being scored as a quadruple dual – Rochester vs. each of the
three and those three versus each other (UR vs NYU, Brandeis vs.
Canisius, NYU vs. Brandeis, etc.). The events themselves are simply
scored in the total order of finish, but that does not reflect the
placement in the head-to-head matchups.
With five events completed on Friday night plus the
three-meter board, here are the head-to-head team scores for the
women: NYU 82, Canisius 25; NYU 91, Brandeis 14; NYU 78, Rochester
30; Canisius 77, Brandeis 20; Rochester 56, Canisius 51; Rochester
86, Brandeis 19.
