Katie Arnott has been hired as an assistant coach of the New York University men's and women's swimming teams.
Arnott graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in hospitality and tourism with a minor in education. She was a four-year team member of the Minutewomen's Division I swimming team, ending her career as the team's senior captain.
"I am very excited about this opportunity to working alongside the coaching staff and help each swimmer exceed all of their individual goals and team goals for the season," Arnott said.
As a junior, Arnott finished second in the 100 breaststroke at the Atlantic 10 Championships, breaking the school record. In 2013 and 2014, she received the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Honorable Mention Scholar All-American Award.
Arnott competed in the A-10 Championships all four years of her collegiate career and was a member of the National College Athletic Honor Society.
"Katie adds a lot to our program," said Head Coach Trevor Miele. "She was an accomplished collegiate swimmer and brings a lot of experience to our teams."
