Spartans Draft Eli Silver as Part of Team IMPACT Program

The Case Western Reserve University swimming and diving team is proud to announce the addition of Eli Silver of Shaker Heights, Ohio.  Eli was signed by the Spartans during his draft day on Saturday, February 6th, as a part of the Team IMPACT program.

Eli, age 10 and a backstroke specialist, has been training three times a week, in anticipation of joining up with the Spartans.  The full video of his press conference is below.

Team IMPACT is a program that aims at improving the quality of life for children facing life-threatening and chronic illnesses through the power of team, by matching these courageous kids with local college athletic teams. Team IMPACT children are drafted onto the team and become an official member of the team from Draft Day through to Graduation. The child joins the athletic team and the student athletes join the child's support team.
