The University of Chicago women's swimming and diving team kicked off the first day of the NCAA Division III Championships by earning honorable mention All-American status in one event on Wednesday.
The 200-yard medley relay also came through with an All-America performance. The relay placed 15th in a time of 1:45.59. Members of the relay included sophomore Melissa Bischoff, freshman Christina Cheng, freshman Daria Wick and junior Maya Scheidl.
Junior Megan Wall came close to All-America status as she placed 20th in the 200-yard IM with a mark of 2:05.93.
