Maroons Sweep Lewis and Olivet Nazarene in Tri-Meet

The University of Chicago women's swimming and diving team hosted a tri-meet on Saturday, defeating visiting Lewis University and Olivet Nazarene University.

UChicago's women defeated Lewis 186-108 and Olivet Nazarene 164-133. 

The women featured victories from sophomore Natalie DeMuro on the one-meter board (270.08) and freshman Anna Girlich (276.45) on the three-meter board. Both divers posted NCAA provisional scores on the day and are now officially qualified for the NCAA Zones.

UChicago had seven event victories on the women's side. Junior Maya Scheidl was a multi-winner in the 100-yard freestyle and in the 400-yard freestyle relay alongside freshman Cecile Kurman-Browning, freshman Hannah Eastman and senior Karen Chu. Three other swimmers earned individual wins, which included freshman Simone Stover (1,000-yard freestyle), freshman Daria Wick (50-yard freestyle) and junior Alison Wall (200-yard backstroke).
