Rochester picked up where it left off in the women's swimming and diving season by posting a victory over Nazareth College on Saturday afternoon at the Speegle-Wilbraham Aquatic Complex.
The Yellowjackets earned 187 points to 104 for the Golden Flyers. Rochester is ranked #17 in Division III in the current poll of College Swimming.com. The Yellowjackets are 5-2 in dual meets this year.
There were five double winners for Rochester. The Yellowjackets won all 12 individual events, finished first on both boards, and took both relays.
The double winners were Jen Enos in the 1000 (10:50.47) and 500 (5:21.83) freestyles, Alex Veech in the 100 (1:10.57) and 200 (2:34.03) breaststrokes, Emily Simon in the 50 (:25.04) and 100 (:54.98) freestyles, and Annie Thayer in the 200 fly (2:12.97) and the 400 Individual Medley (4:48.18).
Natalie Wong won the 100 backstroke (1:03.48), Becca Selznick took the 200 freestyle (1:59.52), Madison Saliba was first in the 200 backstroke (2:16.52), and Hongjue Wang was first in the 100 fly (1:01.28).
The leadoff 200 medley relay was comprised of Wong, Veech, Shannon Cahalan, and Simon. They were timed in 1:55.22. The closing 200 free relay finished in 1:43.46 with Wang, Khamai Simpson, Stephanie Chen, and Selznick combining for the victory.
Danielle Neu won both boards. She had a 239.77 on the one meter board with Jill Gingher getting a 182.18 on an exhibition basis. On the three meter board, Neu was first wityh a 246.37 and Gingher finished third with a 178.34.
Before the meet began, the coaches honored the seven seniors – four women and three men – along with their families. The women's seniors were Erin Finnerty, Kelsey Lisb on, Vicky Luan, and Ellen Swanson. The men's seniors were Nick Ranallo, Jacob Reid, and Dylan Sharkey.
