Judges' 800 Freestyle Relay Breaks School Record

On the first night of action at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association Championships, the Brandeis women broke their third relay record of the year.

The quartet of rookie Hwanhee Park (Cumberland, Maine/Greely), Sheinhait, rookie Fallon Katz (Sarasota, Fla. / Pine View) and Herman became the first group to swim under eight minutes with a time of 7:57.76. The Judges finished in third place.

The top performance on the second night came from sophomore Kylie Herman (Weston, Fla./Cypress Bay) who was in fourth place in the 500 free with a time of 5:19.86.

Rookie Natalya Wozab (Plantation, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas) was also fourth in the 200 individual medley in 2:15.74, while sophomore Sabrina Greer(Greensboro, N.C./Greensboro Day School) was eighth in 2:22.98.

Junior Amy Sheinhait (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) turned in a sixth-place finish in the 50 free with a time of 25.57 seconds.

The two women's relays on the evening also finished in fourth place. The 200 free team of Sheinhait, junior Abby Damsky (New York, N.Y./Brearly School), Wozab and Yvette Smith (Gainesville, Fla./Gainesville) swam 1:41.88, while the rookie team of Phillipa Zheku (Woburn, Mass./Woburn Memorial), Wozab, Park and Smith swam 4:10.85 in the 400 medley relay.
