The Brandeis swimming and diving team traveled to western New York over the weekend to take on UAA rivals Rochester on Friday afternoon, then faced both the Yellowjackets and Division I Canisius on Saturday morning. The Judges were defeated in all three meets, but had several big individual performances.
FRIDAY VS ROCHESTER
Women, L, 62-213
Sophomore Kylie Herman (Weston, Fla./Cypress Bay) had two individual second-place finishes in the 100 free (56.72 seconds) and the 200 free (2:00.80). She also took third place in the 500 free (5:21.09).
Rookie Natalya Wozab (Plantation, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas) swam second in both breaststroke events, swimming 34.05 seconds in the 50 and 1:13.81 in the 100. ClassmateHwanee Park (Cumberland, Maine/Greely) earned second place in the 50 butterfly in 28.04 seconds, while junior Amy Sheinheit (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) was third in the 50 back in 30.46 seconds.
The women also had two runner-up relays. The 200 free relay of Herman, junior Abby Damsky (New York, N.Y./Brearley School), rookie Mia Dorri (Boulder, Colo./Boulder) and Sheinheit swam 1:48.34. IN the 200 medley relay, it was rookie Phillippa Zheku (Woburn, Mass./Woburn Memorial) leading off, followed by Wozab, Park and Dorris who turned in a time of 1:56.15.

Herman had three top-four performances. She was third in the 200 freestyle (2:02.01) and in the 400 individual medley (4:54.73) and fourth in the 200 butterfly (2:22.52).
Wozab turned in two fourth-place finishes in the breaststroke, going 1:13.82 in the 100 and 2:40.73 in the 200.
Park had the team's final top-three finish, taking third in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:02.65.
The women's top relay was the 400 medley squad made up of Zheku, Wozab, Park and Herman, who were fifth in 4:19.13.
