Violets Completes NYU Invitational

The New York University women's swimming & diving team completed day two of the NYU Invitational, which was held at the Palladium Athletic Facility in Manhattan on Friday and Saturday, February 3-4.

There was no team scoring at this meet. 

Sophomore swimmers Emma Lockman and Shannon Roberts finished first (1:55.19) and third (1:56.35), respectively, in the 200-yard freestyle, while classmate Alex McGurk finished first in the 200-yard IM (2:11.32).

The Violets' relay squads also secured first (3:44.52) and second (3:48.76) in the 400-yard freestyle relay.

Sophomore Katie Hollenbeck finished second in the 100-yard butterfly (58.30) , falling short by 0.03 seconds to first-place Julia Perry (58.27) from Lehigh University. 

"I thought we swam very well today," said Head Coach Trevor Miele. "Our swimmers put in a great performance. Overall, I'm very proud of the team and really glad to see it come together today."
