NYU Moves Into Second Place At UAA Championships

The New York University women's swimming & diving team is currently in second place out of eight teams at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships, held Wednesday-Saturday, February 8-11, at the University of Chicago in Chicago, IL.

The Violets have accumulated 987.5 points during the meet, 14.5 ahead of third-place Chicago. Emory University leads with 1270 points. 

Kathy Lin won the 100-yard butterfly in an NCAA-qualifying time of 55.17, and was a member of the 200-yard medley relay team which placed ninth (1:45.63) and won the "B" final, which also included Olivia Kirkpatrick, Ashley Corley, Sarah Stone.  

"We had a tremendous day and I am really proud of their effort and our results," said Head Coach Trevor Miele. "We have another big day tomorrow and I look forward to us finishing strongly."
