University of Chicago will serve as host of the 2017 UAA Swimming & Diving Championships this week. Competition will take place at the Ratner Athletics Center Myers-McLoraine Pool.
Top-ranked and seven-time defending NCAA Division III champion Emory University seeks its 19th consecutive UAA title. The Eagles' second-ranked men are also chasing their 19th consecutive Association title.

Six men's teams are nationally ranked headed into the championship, according to the most recent College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) poll. NYU (6th), Washington University (7th), and Carnegie Mellon University (9th) all join the Eagles in the top-10. Chicago is ranked 11th with Case Western Reserve University ranked 24th.
Five UAA women's teams are ranked in the top-10. In addition to top-ranked Emory, NYU (5th), Washington University (6th), Chicago (8th), and Carnegie Mellon (10th) all enter the championship among the top 10 teams in NCAA Division III. University of Rochester is ranked 22nd.
The meet opens on Wednesday with preliminaries of the men's one-meter dive at 1:45 p.m. (ET), with the finals of the event to follow at 6:30 p.m. Swimming events will begin on Thursday and run through Saturday, with preliminaries beginning daily at 11:00 a.m. and finals at 6:30 p.m.
The top-24 swimmers from the morning preliminaries will advance to 'A,' 'B,' and 'C' heats of the finals (of eight swimmers each) in the evening, with the top-three finishers in the finals earning All-Association recognition. Each school has an opportunity to score with an 'A' team and a 'B' team in each relay, while for diving, the top-eight finishers in the afternoon preliminaries will advance to the finals at night.
