Four women were double winners individually in swimming and Danielle Neu captured both diving events as Rochester posted a 166-121 victory over Hartwick College on Saturday afternoon.
The Yellowjackets improved to 3-1 this season. UR was first to the wall in 12 individual swimming events plus both relays. The divers captured the top four positions on each board.
If you take into account the winning relays, Tess Minigell, Alex Veech, Becca Selznick, and Emily Simon were all triple winners. Minigell won the 200 free (1:57.75) and the 500 free (5:22.33). She swam on the winning 400 free relay (3:40.86) with Selznick, Caitlyn Weeden, and Simon.
Veech won both breaststroke races – the 100 in 1:08.77, the 200 in 2:34.26. She swam on the winning 200 medley relay which launched the meet (1:51.84 – Caroline Wu-Silvera, Monica Jackson, and Selznick). Simon won the 100 freestyle to go along with her two relay wins. Selznick won the 50 free (:24.86) and was on both relays. She also finished second (1:01.91) in the 100 fly, just .13 seconds behind Anna Mucci's winning time of 1:01.78.
Jackson won the 200 fly (2:15.11) and the 200 IM (2:16.46) and had the 200 medley relay on her resume. Saliba won the 100 (1:02.73) and 200 (2:14.08) backstrokes.
Marija Mitrovski was first in the 1,000 freesstyle (10:55.09).
On the one meter board, Neu was first (241.86), followd by Jill Gingher (208.13), Paige Hayward (183.08), and Jenna 'Tong' Zhang (177.98). The order of finish was the same for the three meter board: Neu (243.15), Gingher (212.47), Hayward (186.30), Zhang (175.12).
