The Washington University in St. Louis women's swimming and diving program defeated NCAA Division II Lindenwood University Friday evening in a dual swim meet as senior diver Emily Ramos set a new personal best in the three-meter dive. The WashU women defeated Lindenwood by a score of 140-103.
Ramos set a new personal best of 265.1 in the three-meter dive, more than 30 points higher than her previous season-best. The score was one of the highest marks a Bears diver has reached in a dual meet since 1998, when the record of 285.67 was set by Rachel Hopkins. The senior diver also added a season-best score of 237.85 in the one-meter dive.
The women won nine total events while seniors Lauren Carlos and MariMac Collins paired with juniors Nicole Zanolli and Niamh O'Grady to win the 200 medley relay (1:48.75). All four women also added individual titles as well as Carlos won the 50 free (24.94), Collins won the 200 free (1:57.24), 100 free (53.54), Zanolli won the 100 back (59.48) and O'Grady won the 200 individual medley (2:08.39) and 100 butterfly (57.58).
