Brandeis Posts Best UAA Point Totals in 2.0 Era

The Brandeis University women's swimming and diving team wrapped up the 2018 University Athletic Association championships at Emory University with the team's best point total under head coach Mike Kotch.

The Judges' quartet of senior Amy Sheinhait (Framingham, Mass./Framingham), rookie Rachel Goldblatt (Atlanta, Ga./ Galloway School), junior Kylie Herman (Weston, Fla. / Cypress Bay) and rookie Annie Huang (Chapel Hill, N.C. / East Chapel Hill) placed eighth with a new mark of 3:38.17. Huang set the mark on her birthday.

In the women's mile, rookie Leah Kunins (Gulfport, Fla. / St. Petersburg) - also celebrating a birthday - scored by finishing 24th with a time of 20:02.87.

The Judges had two other swimmers place 23rd, both in the 200 breaststroke. Rookie Emily McGovern (Chatham, N.J. / Chatham) turned in the third-fastest time in the women's team history with a time of 2:28.59.

Outside of the scoring performances, Amy Sheinhait moved into third place all time on the Judges' list in the 100 free with a time of 54.47 seconds.
