From Case Western Reserve University Athletics
The Case Western Reserve University women's swimming and diving team defeated Ohio Northern University 215-84 and defeated NCAA Division II program Hillsdale College 184-107.
The CWRU women picked up first-place finishes in nine of the 16 events during the meet, including a sweep of the diving events. Senior Brooke Hortness finished first in the one-meter dive with a score of 192.45 and then won the three-meter dive with a score of 199.70.
Junior Suhan Mestha finished first in the 100-yard backstroke (59.18) and the 100-yard freestyle (54.06), while freshman Caitlyn VonFeldt won the 50-yard freestyle (25.54) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:09.91).
In addition, freshman Sophia Vaccaro won the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:13.07 and sophomore Monica Khare won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.15, while the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Mestha, VonFeldt, junior Bhavya Kumaran and senior Inez Moore won the event with a time of 1:41.55.
