CWRU Sweeps at Quad Meet

The Case Western Reserve University women's swimming and diving team hosted a quad meet in the Veale Natatorium in Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday afternoon, picking up a sweep.

The women picked up their wins against Gannon (181-112), Grove City (227-70) and Rochester (199-100).

Junior Suhan Mestha and sophomore Olivia Picchione each picked up a pair of first-place finishes. Mestha won the 100-yard backstroke (58.01) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:06.42). Olivia Picchione won the 200-yard freestyle (1:57.69) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:14.83). In addition, senior Brooke Hortness won the three-meter dive with a score of 226.45, while freshman Sophia Vaccaro finished first in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:23.75.

Mestha also teamed with freshman Caitlyn VonFeldt, junior Alli Drohosky and sophomore Monica Khare to win the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:47.89. Mestha and VonFeldt also teamed with senior Inez Moore and sophomore Rhiannon Reese to finish first in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:39.26.
