NYU Gets Back in Win Column Against Bridgeport

The New York University women's swimming & diving team defeated the University of Bridgeport 169-68 on Saturday, January 27, at the Palladium Athletic Facility in Manhattan.

NYU evened its record at 4-4, while the Knights remain winless through five meets this season.

Rachel Munger celebrated Senior Day with victories in the 100-yard breaststroke (56.17) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:29.16).

Sydney Catron and Honore Collins were also double-winners for NYU. Catron won the 100-yard freestyle (47.21) and 200-yard freestyle (1:55.31), while Collins captured the 100-yard backstroke (59.86) and 200-yard backstroke (2:12.82).

Catron and Collins composed half of the victorious 200-yard medley relay squad (1:51.00), which also included May Li and Joonyoung Lee.

"We closed out our dual-meet season on a strong note, and it was great to see them perform so well, especially the seniors," said Head Coach Trevor Miele. "We're in a really solid position heading into the UAA's."

HIGHLIGHTS
- Jaime Robinson won the 1,000-yard freestyle in a time of 10:38.93.

- Erica Yuen was victorious in the 50-yard butterfly (59.41).

- Carmen White captured both the one-meter (298.57) and three-meter (313.06) diving competitions.

"We've had the best two weeks of training ever and it certainly showed today," said Diving Coach Todd Kolean. "All the divers did their championship diving list, and I'm excited to go to the UAA's."
