The New York University women's swimming & diving team competed at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships in Atlanta, GA, on Thursday, February 15.

The Violets are in second place out of eight teams with 407 points, trailing leaders Emory University (674) and sitting ahead of third-place Washington University in St. Louis (376).

"We got off to a fantastic start this morning and followed it up tonight with an even more impressive effort," said Head Coach Trevor Miele. "It was great to see our upperclassmen and freshmen contribute to the effort and I'm excited to see them in action tomorrow."

Honore Collins began her defense of her national championship by winning the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:01.76. Sydney Catron also turned in a strong performance, setting a school record in the 500-yard freestyle (4:56.50) and finishing fourth, just ahead of teammates Grace Wakabayashi (4:59.14) and Jaime Robinson (5:00.32) in fifth and sixth, respectively.

Collins and Catron teamed up with May Li and Erica Yuen to capture third place in the 400-yard medley relay (3:47.61).
