Chicago Celebrates Senior Day Against Wisconsin-Milwaukee

The University of Chicago women's swimming and diving team honored its five seniors before Saturday afternoon's competition in a dual meet versus University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

The Maroons recognized their senior class on the pool deck before the start of the first races. The seniors included Melissa Bischoff, Natalie DeMuro, Monica Kieff, Emma Madden, and Florina Yang.

DeMuro led the women's divers with NCAA zones provisional scores on both boards. She won the one-meter dive (258.38) and took third in the three-meter dive (268.65). Junior Anna Girlich also tallied a NCAA provisional qualifying score on the one-meter board, taking runner-up with 257.70 points.

The Maroon women recorded four victories on the day, including DeMuro's win. Redza swam the 200-yard freestyle (1:56.08), first-year Margaret Wolfson raced in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:24.66) and sophomore Nicole Garcia competed in the 100-yard butterfly (58.78).
