Rochester Records Three First Place Finishes on Day Two Against Geneseo

The UR women's swimming and diving team had three first place finishes and other top three finishers in individual events on day two of the regular season finale.
 
Becca Selznick, Shannon Calahan and Monica Jackson were all victorious in individual events for Rochester. The Yellowjackets also had three second place finishes and four third place finishes.
 
Selznick won the 100 freestyle for Rochester in a time of 54.04.  She also was runner up in the 200 freestyle in 1:59.03 and was a part of a third place finishing relay team.
 
Shannon Calahan and Monica Jackson were also winners on Saturday. Calahan came out on top in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:16.39. Jackson won the 200 breaststroke in 2:32.02.
 

Erica Hughestook second in the 200 backstroke in 2:11.43 and Tess Minigell was runner up in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:28.84.
 
Alyssa Gardiner was third in the 200 butterfly, which had Yellowjackets placing one, two, three.  Her time was 2:19.29. Kelsey Bartlett placed third in the 200 backstroke in 2:12.84 and Emma Dowd had a third place finish in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:29.55.  Cook also had a third place finish in the 400 IM with a time of 4:52.92.
 
Caity Weeden, Sofia Guarnieri, Amina N'Gambwa and Selznick were a part of the 200 freestyle relay team, which took third place in 1:44.79.
 
Julia Herman and Annie Thayer were honored as seniors Saturday before the meet resumed.
