Washington University Enjoys Dominant Return to Millstone Pool

The Washington University in St. Louis women's swimming & diving program had a triumphant return to the I.E. Millstone Pool Friday evening, opening the second half of the season with a first place finish at the WashU Invitational.

The No. 9-ranked women finished with a meet leading 1,087 points to outpace Lindenwood University-Belleville (377), Maryville University (217), Williams Baptist College (76) and Principia College (69). 

The WashU women finished with a clean sweep of events. The Bears dove and swam to 13 first place finishes, while the men nearly matched the feat with 11 first place efforts.

Senior Niamh O'Grady led the Bears as she contributed to four first place finishes, while sophomore Mollie Seidner, senior Nicole Zanolli, junior Lauren Sapp, and senior Laura Barber also finished atop multiple events.
