Washington University in St. Louis 2018 graduate Nicole Zanolli was named to the 2017-18 Google Cloud Division III Women's At-Large Academic All-America Second Team, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Tuesday.

Zanolli is just the second WashU women's swimmer to garner the CoSIDA Academic All-America honor twice, joining Kristalyn McAfee (2015-2016). Zanolli earned second team honors in both instances.

In addition, the Menlo Park, Calif., native was awarded a NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship in May. Zanolli plans to use her scholarship while attending Duke University's School of Medicine.

She concluded her degree in biology with a 3.86 grade point average while on the Danforth Campus. Zanolli finished her career with 13 All-American finishes, six honorable mention All-American accolades and 15 all-University Athletic Association (UAA) honors.

Zanolli left her stamp on the WashU swimming and diving program with school record times in seven events, including four individual. She holds the 200-freestyle (1:49.09), 500-freestyle (4:51.95), 100-backstroke (55.62) and 200-backstroke (1:59.76) records. Zanolli was also a member of the record setting relay teams in the 400-freestyle (3:23.67), 200-medley (1:43.22) and 400-medley (3:46.19).

In order to be selected to the Academic All-America team, a student-athlete must possess at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA, and be at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing.
