#28 Brandeis Wins Battle of Waltham, 9-0, Over Bentley

The Brandeis women's tennis team, ranked 28th in Division III, took on cross-town Division II rival Bentley University today and the Judges rolled to a 9-0 win.  

The Judges (3-7) won their second straight match with three double winners. Senior Carley Cooke (San Diego, Calif./Point Loma) and rookie Haley Cohen (Cherry Hill, N.J./Laurel Springs) rolled at No. 1 doubles, 8-1. Cooke then went on to sweep her Falcon opponent, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 1 singles, while Cohen had the day's longest singles match, 7-5, 6-1, at No. 2.

Junior Maya Vasser (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) was the final double winner, teaming with senior Dylan Schlesinger (Miami, Fla./Palmetto) for a 9-8 win at No. 2 doubles and claiming a 6-1, 6-1, victory at No. 5 singles.

Rookie Danielle Simms (Chattanooga, Tenn./Girls Preparatory School) joined Cooke by posting a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles. Brandeis also got singles wins from senior Simone Vandroff (Moss Bay, Calif./Half Moon Bay) at No. 3 and junior Emily Eska (Princeton, Mass./Wachusett Regional) at No. 4.
