Washington University in St. Louis head coach Kelly Stahlhuth was selected as the 2015 Wilson/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III Women's Tennis Coach of the Year, as announced Wednesday by the ITA.
In 10 seasons at WashU, Stahlhuth has led the Bears to nine NCAA Tournament appearances and a 155-72 (.683) overall record. She led WashU to an 18-6 record this season, the team's second-highest win total in her tenure. The Bears are the top-ranked team in the Central Region, and also have the region's top-ranked singles player (sophomore Rebecca Ho) and doubles team (Ho and junior Jamie Silverberg).
Stahlhuth led WashU to an 11-6 record against nationally ranked opponents this season, and an 8-1 mark against five other teams currently ranked in the Central Region Top-20. The Bears finished fourth at the 2015 ITA Division III National Team Indoor Championships, and were third at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship. Stahlhuth's team was also honored with the ITA Team Sportsmanship Award at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships.
