Chicago Sweeps Kenyon and Oberlin

The University of Chicago women's tennis team finished its busy weekend by sweeping through Kenyon College and Oberlin College by matching 9-0 scores on Sunday.

The No. 12-ranked Maroons wrapped up their four-game road trip in Ohio and now own a 3-2 record on the season.

UChicago dominated doubles play, limiting its opponents to three games or fewer in four of the six matches. Three of the singles matches went to three sets, but the Maroons won each of the super tiebreakers to keep the opposition off the board. All six players in the lineup picked up four total wins apiece on the day – senior Megan Tang, freshman Ariana Iranpour, freshman Jasmine Lee, sophomore Tiffany Chen, junior Lucy Tang and freshman Courtney Warren.

"The women did a great job of coming out ready to play today," Head Coach Jay Tee said. "It would have been easy to go through the motions after a late night and early morning, but they didn't let it affect them. I'm very proud of the way they competed the entire weekend and I know we will be a better team from the experience."
