The top-ranked Emory University women's tennis team edged out the sixth-ranked Bowdoin University Polar Bears 8-1 on Sunday afternoon in Middlebury, Vt. The win gives the Eagles their 20^th victory of the season and are now 20-4 on the year. Emory has now eclipsed the 20-win plateau for the third straight season and 11^th time in program history.

The Eagles opened the match against Bowdoin (11-4) taking two out of the three doubles matches. Junior Katarina Su and sophomore Bridget Harding ran their match winning streak to 10 straight on Saturday, taking the no.2 doubles point in easy fashion 8-1. On court no.3 three, juniors Paula Castro and Michelle Satterfield won a tight one, edging out Bowdoin's no.3 tandem 8-6. On the no.1 doubles line, sophomore Anna Fuhr and freshman Daniela Lopez were knocked off by a score of 8-2.

Emory closed out the match taking all six singles matches from the Polar Bears including five of the six matches lasting just two sets. After dropping the first set, Harding battled back to win the no.1 singles point 4-6, 6-2, 6-4. On court no.2, Satterfield lost just one game in a 6-0, 6-1 victory. Freshman Taylor Cosme won her team-leading 25^th singles match of the season, taking the no.3 singles point 6-1, 6-2. Senior Beatrice Rosen won on the no.4 singles line for the Eagles, 6-0, 6-2 and classmate Madison Gordon ran her winning streak to 15^th consecutive matches, claiming the no.5 singles match 6-3, 6-1. Castro rounded out singles play for Emory, winning her second straight no.6 singles match with a 6-2, 6-3 decision.
