Four UAA Women's Teams Set to Compete in ITA Regionals This Weekend

Four UAA women's tennis teams will be in action this week in three different Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) regionals this weekend. The other four squads play in regionals next weekend.

Carnegie Mellon University will compete in the USTA/ITA Southeast Regional hosted by University of Mary Washington.

Brandeis University travels to Middlebury College for the New England Regional. The Judges are led in singles by sophomore Haley Cohen, coming off an outstanding rookie season. Cohen will team with first-year player Olivia Leavitt in doubles.

NYU and University of Rochester will both participate in the Northeast Regional hosted by William Smith College. Senior Carmen Lai of NYU is seeded third in singles, while first-year teammate Flyora Shiyanova is among the players seeded between ninth and 16th. Junior Laila El Dessouki and Lai are set to defend their regional doubles title and are seeded third. Senior Christine Ho of the Yellowjackets is among the players seeded between ninth and 16th in singles.
