Seven Association student-athletes, including UAA Most Valuable Player Nithya Kanagasegar of Case Western Reserve University, have been chosen to participate in the 32-player NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Singles Championship.

Kanagasegar, who finished 6-0 in singles and doubles at the UAA Tennis Championship in April, is making her second appearance in the NCAA singles championship in as many years.

Sophomore Bridget Harding and junior Michelle Satterfield of Emory University each earned a spot in the NCAA singles championship. Harding has posted a 21-9 record this season, including 15-7 at No. 1 singles. Satterfield, who captured the 2013 ITA Small College National Championship and advanced to the NCAA singles semifinals last year, has posted a 19-6 record this season.

Junior Rebecca Ho of UAA runner-up Washington University has won 12 consecutive matches and sports a 20-5 record heading into the postseason. She has recorded a 73-12 career mark and is making her second consecutive appearance in the NCAA singles championship.

Senior Brooke Tsu and junior Nicholle Torres of Carnegie Mellon University were both selected to the NCAA singles championship. Tsu enters the tournament with a 17-10 record, while Torres has posted a 17-6 mark. Both are making their first appearance in the NCAA singles tournament.

Sophomore Ariana Iranpour of University of Chicago makes her second consecutive trip to the NCAA singles championship after advancing to the national quarterfinals in her rookie season. She finished fourth at the 2015 ITA Small College National Championship and enters the postseason with a 19-10 record.

Three UAA doubles teams were selected to participate in the 16-team NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Doubles Championship.

Harding and junior Katarina Su earned a spot in the doubles championship with a 19-7 record, including a 10-1 mark at No. 2 doubles for the Eagles.

Kanagasegar and senior Sara Zargham of the Spartans enter the postseason on a four-match winning streak as Zargham returned to the lineup after missing part of the spring season due to health issues.

Rookie Rachel Kim and senior Lucy Tang of Chicago have won seven of their last 10 matches together after playing much of the early part of the season with different partners.

NCAA singles and doubles play begins on Thursday, May 26 after the team championship concludes the previous day.
