The New York University women's tennis team defeated The College of New Jersey on Wednesday, April 13, in Ewing, NJ.
The Violets, ranked #30 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), recorded a 7-2 victory over #29 TCNJ.
"Strong performance for the women against a team ranked ahead of them," said Head Coach Horace Choy. "It was a dominant win from singles to doubles today."
The freshmen duo of Vanessa Scott and Alice McGinty picked up a tight 9-7 victory at #2 doubles. Laila El Dessouki and Madeline King also recorded an 8-3 win at #3 doubles.
"The top three continued their strong play with wins during singles match-ups," Choy stated. "Laila and Alice really played a couple of commanding games out there. Our team, in general, showed great play."
