UAA Announces Women's Tennis All-Association Team; Nithya Kanagasegar of CWRU Named Most Valuable Player

Sophomore Nithya Kanagasegar of Case Western Reserve University was named UAA Women's Tennis Most Valuable Player as the 2016 UAA All-Association Team was announced.

Kanagasegar won all three of her matches at No. 1 singles, dropping just one set, and teamed with senior Sara Zargham to win three more matches at No. 1 doubles. The doubles tandem earned first team All-Association honors, outscoring three opponents by a combined 24-11 score.

Taylor Cosme of Emory University earned UAA Rookie of the Year honors as she dropped a total of just three games in six sets in three victories, one at No. 2 singles and two at No. 3 singles. 

Head Coach Amy Bryant and her assistant coaches Jordan Wylie, Barbora Krtickova, and Ian Wagner were selected as UAA Coaching Staff of the Year for leading the Eagles to their fourth consecutive Association title and 27th in 29 years.
