Christine Ho, Camila Garcia of Rochester Capture Consolation Doubles Bracket at ITAs

The Rochester doubles combo of senior Christine Ho and freshman Camila Garcia captured the title in the consolation doubles bracket at the USTA/ITA Northeast Regional Championships on Sunday at William Smith College.
 
Ho and Garcia were eliminated in the first round of the main draw, but rolled through their opponents in the consolation bracket, winning three matches and a fourth by walkover to earn the title.
 
The pair opened with an 8-1 win over Mami Blumenthal and Caroline Dunn of Ithaca College.  After a walkover win in the quarterfinals, Garcia and Ho defeated Maria Salmon and Andrea Valencia of RPI 8-2 in the semis before earning the title by an 8-4 score over Lauren Stauffer and Kelsey Van Noy of Vassar.
