University of Rochester junior Lauren Zickar was the C Flight singles winner for the UR women's tennis team at the 2015 Mary Hosking Invitational over the weekend at William Smith College.
 
Zickar went a perfect 4-0 in singles play to capture her victory.  In the first round, she topped Sabrina Ferretti of SUNY Geneseo 8-3 before beating Pooja Ganesh of RPI in the quarterfinals by a 9-8 score.  In the semifinals, she upended teammate Alex Wolkoff 8-5 and then won the flight crown with and 8-4 win over Lia Petersen of St. Lawrence University.
 
Rochester also had a finalist in the D Flight singles bracket when sophomore Karianne Sretavan won her first three matches of the tournament.  In her opener, Sretavan won easily over Sara Keller of RIT, winning 8-1.  In the quarterfinals, she was an 8-2 winner over Connie Froass of William Smith and then won 8-5 over Nina Lurie of SUNY Geneseo to reach the finals.  There, she fell by an 8-6 score to Rachel Ollis of Geneseo.
 
The highlight of Rochester's doubles play over the two day tournament was in the B Doubles bracket where the pair of freshman Josephine Tai and junior Mariana Flores Kim reached the semifinals.  Tai and Flores Kim won 8-1 in the first round over Nazareth and then 8-3 in the second round over William Smith before dropping their semifinal match to a team from RPI.
