Junior Rebecca Ho posted a pair of victories Thursday to advance to the quarterfinals of the 2016 NCAA Division III Singles Championship held at Stowe Stadium in Kalamazoo, Mich.

"I needed to find my rhythm in match one. Once I found it, I turned it around and played well," Ho said. "I am really excited to advance to the second day. The last two years I had trouble making it through the first round. I was happy to pull out the three-setter and bring my "A" game in the second match."

Ho, who lost a three-setter a year ago in the opening round, trailed 6-4, 2-1 in the opening match against Dora Tzeng of Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Ho rallied to win set two 6-2, and then posted a 6-4 victory in the final set.

She followed that up with a 6-4, 6-0 win over Maryann Zhao of Pomona-Pitzer Colleges in the round of 16.

Ho, who has a 23-6 singles second this season, takes on Ria Gerger of Middlebury College in the Quarterfinals Friday at 10:30 a.m. (ET).
